My husband and I own a Catalina 25 and have been sailing for 8 years now. We have sailed lakes, some coastal cruising, and we spent a week sailing in Greece. We are looking at chartering and doing some sailing down in the Virgin Islands after the first of the year. Any recommendations would be welcomed! Thanks!!

Welcome to SailNet, Kerry.

Which part of the Virgin Islands interests you?

There are quite a few VI inquiries in the Chartering forum:

Chartering - SailNet Community

And in the Caribbean destination forum:

Caribbean - SailNet Community

This may give you some ideas so you can ask questions.

Good luck! Been there, done it, can't wait to return.

Welcome Kerry. There are really only two charter companies I can recommend in the USVI. One is Island Yachts and the other is CYOA. You might also take a look at traveltalkonline dot com they have some forums that are specific to this area with reviews from recent charters. If there is anything I can do to help you, please send me a PM.

I read your experience with a local company. It's very unfortunate...
