Help!
I'm looking at a few boats I just had to get rid of my 27' Coranado (moved)
I al looking at a 22' Oday that says: (22 ft Oday sailboat,6 hp motor, 2 main sails and 1 jib, dingy, anchors, stove, 2 batteries, older hand held gps, fish finder used as depth finder, porta-a-pot,life jackets, good titles, ready to sail)
A 22' Catalina
A 24' morgan that has some issue with the rudder or stuffing box
a 1964 22' Bristol, bare bones with a head and needs a new battery (the reg. says bristol but I saw no markings on the boat stating bristol)
All are shoal keel, except the morgan (bare bones)

I am the type to the bays and head offshore from time to time we moved to miami.

Please help me findout what the best boat would be.

Thank you

Mike

Just as a suggestion, you would be way ahead of the game starting a new thread with your question. It would have more visibility and would not be dismissed as rudely hijacking someone else's thread. It would also be helpful if you provided more info about how you planned to use the boat.

Personally I am a fan of the Morgan 24 if it's in decent shape.

Re: Chance Offshore One

Thank you Jeff, I'm not very tec savvy and for one reason or another I just can get a "new thread" to start.
The morgan needs rudder work (where the runner through fits)
I hope to sail it from the keys to miami, then in the bay bany maybe a bit of fishing offshore. when I know the boat well I would like to sail to Bimini (45-55miles off the coast...) that should be as far as I go

If Bimini is on your radar, I would look at something a bit bigger. I owned an ODay 22 many years ago and there's no way I would sail it from Florida to Bimini.
