I found this dinghy sitting at my uncle's place, and I'm having a hard time identifying it. He said it's a Mistral of some sort, but didn't know which.

If any of you guys had any idea as to what it is that would be awesome.

Thanks!

For whatever reason it won't let me post images, so here's the link to some pictures of the boat with a plus sign added in.

Some further googling makes me think it might be a Mistral 4.7. The hull shape seems right, but according to the scraps of information I've been able to find the 4.7 had a conventional sloop rig. It makes those spars kind of curious, especially the fact that there's two of them.

Pretty cool looking dink. Might be a Mistral, judging by the windsurfing type rig, early 80's?
If it is reasonably complete, I would restore it. You just don't see them around at all. I bet it sails very well with this windsurfing rig.
I am currently restoring a neglected Escape Solsa, using one of my old windsurfing rigs.

What you see in the pictures are two windsurfing booms, but you only need one at a time to sail. Likely they are 2 different sizes for 2 different size sails.

That's sort of the direction I'm leaning. Supposedly there is/are sail(s) for it in one of my cousin's basements, so I'm going to take a look once I can get hold of him.

This is the only picture of a Mistral 4.7 I could find. I think it looks pretty close, other than those wishbones.

Two plus signs this time.
