Does anyone know what this is on a 1997 Yanmar 3GM30F
? I noticed a small leak coming from it and possibly spilling over one of the injectors. Here is a picture for reference. TIA!

I think its a engine breather, hose goes nowhere no pressure if the gasket is replaced you will be fine.
It is located on the valve cover gasket correct?

Injector #1 or #3 is directly to the right of the square cover, whatever is leaking from there is dripping on the injector and the injector is pretty rusty. The other 2 are in good shape I will post a pic next

The breather is oil and oil vapor should not cause rusting.
Look for another scource causing the rusting, dosent look all that bad.
Just clean it up

I would think it has a gasket or you could cut one out of gasket paper,
Auto parts places sell it trace it cut it out punch out bolt holes, or just see if you can snugg it down a bit.
Clean up the area and see how it does, again it is not under pressure

The breather discharge won't cause the corrosion, but it's probably why there's no more paint on those parts which allowed the corrosion to happen.
