Hello everyone!
First off, thank you to all those of you who have posted mountains of very useful knowledge on these forums. I've been lurking here for the past year or so, soaking up information.

I'm a 30something young professional who has been dreaming about sailing for years. I grew up on Vancouver Island, but never really had a chance to experience much sailing. My wife and I are currently living with our young daughter in London, ON. We're in a position to start looking into sailboat ownership with the eventual goal of cruising lake huron/georgian bay. We're currently signed up for a keelboat course and are actively looking to buy our first boat.

Please bear with me, while I ask my many newbie questions!

Welcome novic. I lived in London for about six years in the 90s. Nice city, although not the best place for keel boat cruising. Fanshawe Lake just ain't big enough ;). But you're not far from most of the Great Lakes. Fair winds.

Thanks for the warm welcome!
We're finding London to be a great little city. If only it were a tad closer to the water...
