I see the skipper is bent over trying to read his charplotter, "now there should be a jetty up here somewhere on the right....". :D

I would title this photo "Puck'er Up Time"

Waiting to see the next photos in this series, but I suspect one of those photos may be titled " Puck'er Up Failed. Now In Deep S--t".

Rode waves one quarter this size into Cape May, NJ back in 1999. Still can feel the pucker.

That is what whitewater kayakers call a bow squirt. Don't think I'd try it is a sailboat.
KB7EWA,

I thought he was going to throw a big aerial blunt!!

For the non-paddlers:

With a planing hull sailboat, the skipper could have gone for mad air:

This one is me before two shoulder dislocations. Damn fast moving water...

Not much choice there, very narrow entrance, and we know nothing of their reason for being out in those conditions. Once the wave is past, they are pretty much in the right direction only yards from the entrance, the wave carried them a little too far and they have to adjust for it.

Now that's impressive. I especially like the write up on Cam's link:

"Here are some cool shots of a sailboat (looks like a Beneteau) entering the port of Zumaia in the north of Spain. Not sure what these guys are thinking... but you got to have some balls or be very nuts to attempt this."

So what's the verdict? Balls or nuts?
