I believe the curtains are made from micro fiber. They almost feel like suede and are tan with a green border stripe. I have no idea how long they have been up, and I am itching to wash them. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

I would try washing them by hand in the sink. Most microfiber is quite washable, but not all. If they don't come out, then you are going to be following Minnewaska's advice. But I would try washing them first. When looking at fabric the first question I ask is can it be machine washed. They always look at me like I am too practical, but hey if I am replacing it I want it to look good for a while.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! The curtains are really in great shape, but I am sure they need cleaning. I'll see how they come out, and if need be, hubby can sew more on the lovely machine he bought at the sailboat show last fall. I haven't sewn anything since I sewed through my pinky 12 years ago
