I took someone to a chiropractors last week and he was using this gadget Steeles.com - Tuning Forks, Medical Tuning Forks, Tuning Fork as part of his diagnostic process. So I got to thinking. If you applied this fork to a hull and listened with a stethoscope maybe fork on outside scope on inside maybe this would be another way to detect deck delaminations.

I work in an aviation engineering group for DOD. We have access to ANY inspection gizmo there is and the perferred method for detecting voids in composite aircraft skins is still the good old hammer tap. But give it a try!
