Hi All,

Recently purchased an Oday 30 and need to remove the old name from the transom. It currently has dark blue & red marine paint over ivory gel coat which a local painter suggested I remove with oven cleaner, which seems a lil odd to me. Has anyone done a similar product or had success with other products.

Oven cleaner works well.

Oven cleaner will simply wipe off names done with sign paint - I wiped off a 35 year old name just like that - left a beautiful unfaded gelcoat name behind.
