We recently had the mast stepped after being shipped via truck. The boatyard installed the mast but I see one bolt did not go into the threads below the deck ring. The one thread below the deck ring is slightly off center on the last bolt so they did not tighten the bolt. It is just inserted about 1/2 inch until it hits the off center threads. I have two questions on this problem. 1.) Does the mast ring need to be rotated so that all the threads will line up correctly with the bolts? 2.) If I remove all the bolts to try to align the ring around the mast do I need to have it hooked up to a crane to hold it in place? I am not sure the mast will stand straight when the bolts are removed and at +400 pounds I don't want it shifting on me and not be able to align it.
