I am curious about whether or not a Hunter Vision 32 uses a topping lift when raising the mainsail. Currently the boat is rigged with the mainsail halyard holding the boom up when it is at the dock. When the mainsail is raised does the boom vang hold the boom up and serve as a lift or should a crew member hold the boom up to take some pressure off the main? I have also seen comments about a boomkicker K-1500 that may be used for this purpose. Any input would be appreciated.
