Am about to embark on something I''ve never seen done. I''m gonna put my Merit 25 on a Hydrohoist.

Other than powerboats, have ONLY seen multihulls on lifts.

Anyone ever see a monohull, keelboat on one?

My wife and I own a small yacht similar to a holland 25 it has been hoisted out of the water a number of times. It may be a good idea to remove windex as this could be damaged by the strops. Also the anti foul can be damaged by movement if it has not hardened properly. We use Hemple hard racing antifoul and have noticed webbing line in the paint on the next slipping. Have never had a major problem with a hoist/ crane for slipping. Good Luck

Thanks, Marc.

My boatlift, to be installed soon, cradles the hull with trailer-like beds and then lifts the hull 30" out of the water.

Windex will be safely 30'' away from any part of the hoist.

Sounds like you''re descripting a travellift-like setup with the lifting being done from the air and not with floatation tanks in the water.

Thanks for the hard antifoul tip.
