CD- You said freshwater so I assume it is a hybridized striper right??? We don't have any up here, but we do have some of the best small mouth fishing in the country.

Handsome. They look a bit like our sea bass. I have never fished for them.

I try for northern pike every now and again.

Nice fish CD!

Sad thing is the strippers . . . I mean Stripers in that lake in the 70's were much bigger.

Texhoma has been way over fished.

T is right..the shorts.....not really....and the hat...also...in fact..just dump yourself in the next trash bin you find...thanks

It appears you're standing on top of the companionway hatch and taking the pic with a zoom lens...

Didn't wanna get too close huh? :D :D :D :D

"Yes sir Mr. Fish.. Have a seat right there and die peacefully.. I'll be along in a bit to make steaks out of ya!"

Nothing too heroic, but a 4 lb largemouth bass taken with 2# test among the rudders, props and pilings of our marina after a 20 minute battle.

I use 1-1/2" Mr Twisters and usually battle smallmouths. Rule #1 is not to eat anything caught in the marina (bottom paint, etc.). We often anchor out and catch a mess of perch, filet them into strips and boil them and then chill and serve with cocktail sauce (aka "Skaneateles Shrimp" - even on Cayuga Lake) and a nice wine. It don't get no better than that.
