Been sailing since the age of 14 (back in 1971). Owned a 37ft wooden double mast ketch, a Jeanneau Sunshine 36, Beneteau First 38 and just bought a brand new Beneteau First 27.7S. I live in Cyprus from where I cruise and race around Eastern Mediterranean. As you can imagine, most of the difficulties and restrictions for sailing are not boat or wind related, but political.

I am currently learning the particularities of my new boat, which although restricted in size, it is an absolute joy to sail and to play with.

The reason I changed to this boat, was that I wanted a boat I could sail and race with my 10year old son, to whom I am trying pass my passion for the sea and sailing. With bigger boats, he could not "participate" as much, where as with this size boat he feels more involved. Add to this the excitement of sailing a racer!
