Realize this is an old thread, but wanted to chime in with thoughts on the Liberty 28. I love it! No idea what hull number, but has the split back stay, and it’s heavy, but that’s exactly what I want in a boat for blue water cruising. Have only done about 300nm on the outside between Daytona and Charleston, but she’s handled it great! Doesn’t like to tack in winds less than 10kts though if you have any water in the tanks 😂. Engine is a Westerbeke 21 and only gives you trouble if your “mechanic“ puts the raw water pump on upside down… and if you, being a new boat owner, repeat his mistake bc you put it on exactly how you took it off… as long as you don’t do that you should be fine with this boat
