installing Cal 34 rub rail

2416 Views 1 Reply 2 Participants Last post by  Tanley
we are brand new to sailing and have bought a 1969 Cal 34. The previous owner had purchased a rub rail form Seal's Spars in California. We only have the actual rub rail they ordered and are planning on trying to put it on in October. There was nothing but the actual long piece of rubber. Is there suppose to be an insert that goes with this? It is white and in one long piece. any hints on making this not such a hard job? what about end caps? Like I said we are BRAND new and need any advice out there. Is this attached with screws?

thanks,
Pat

You can also poke around here, lots of stuff on Cal boats
