The Irish Sea is too cold for swimming more than a few minutes, and the pounding surf will deposit a swimmer on the rocks.

I had a project a few decades ago at Greyabby on a sea lough just a few miles from this location and it was rare to not have a pounding surf.

This is the North East Coast of Ireland

Not to belittle the vid, (the Irish sea and the west coast of Ireland are no joke!) but why didn't the guy just swim to shore in those conditions?
Well...Heavy winds and Seas, 50º water, jagged shore-line, injured older guy, ...
