BoatUS has just notified its members of a Recall Notice by Kidde concerning certain ABC and BC Fire Extinguishers. More information is available at Kidde Inmar-Recalls | Recall Summary . Anyone owning Kidde Extinguishers that may have been manufactured between July 2013 and October 2014 are advised to check the recall notice and their equipment.

I had bought 3 of them last fall through Amazon. Got a notice from Amazon about the recall and filed with Kidde. Received replacements at no cost. Seems a part is out of tolerance and may prevent the extinguisher from discharging completely.
