Can you make out that name/marking on the port quarter?

Looks to be a 21ish foot something or other, that name may be helpful..

San Juan 21?
My first thought too, but the windows are wrong..

I can almost convince myself the builder's mark says 'Jouet'.. they made a lot of boats over the years that would be relatively rare in N.A. - but there's no saying where that pic was taken though it looks like a Georgia registration number.

Sailboatdata lists a lot of 20-something Jouets but very few images.

It'll be a late 60s/70s design, Jouet goes back further than that. I think they were quite popular in France in their day.

Still speculation, though, if that really is what the builder's mark says.

I don't have a higher resolution than what I posted here. So I can't see the name any better than anyone else. I wasn't sure whether to take the first letter as a T, F, or a J. I can convince myself that it is ending in 'ft' and it could be an 'a' before that. So it might be 'craft' as an ending to a longer word. ...but I'm mostly guessing. Any web hunting on these kinds of terms haven't got me any closer to finding the boat though.

Bingo! That's it. Searched that name and found a couple of pics on the web. I can't post the links, as I don't have enough posts here to get the privilege.

I'm curious what it weighs. That double axle seems a bit overkill. Can't be much more than 1500lbs... Looks like a micro Tanzer 22.

Thanks!

The double axel may or may not be overkill. Depends upon the weight rating of them. I've seen trailer axels with single tires upwards of 10K per, and as little as 1500 x2 = 3000 lbs max tween the two! If said boat is 1500-2000 lbs, that double axel minimum I have seen is what you would want vs a single 1500 lbs axel!
