i have a catalina 30
and it seems i have a leak in my mast step
i do not know if it is coming around electrical wires or where the mast step is bolted to the deck and compression post

the water drains at the bottom of compression post but not into the bilge
and a lot of it
are there any easy fixes without un-stepping the mast?
and if it is leaking around the bolts i will most likely have to replace the core
in the deck:(

has anyone had this Problem?

Hi. I have an old Pearson 323. Mine is also letting rain water in. It's driving me nuts. I'm also getting rainwater collecting in my engine pan. Maybe I need to stay on the boat in a torrential rain with a flashlight! Please let me know directly if you get any good advice.

Thanks,

hey bill rain water do you think it is coming from the mast as well ?

i think on a pearson you have a deck stepped has if the water is coming form there it is most likely coming form a hole for electical wires or the bolts that run threw the deck
