I have a new to me Westsail 39, 45hp Yanmar and a Refleks 61 furnace. The Refleks can/will be plumbed for radiators to heat the head and V berth. Adding a hot water heater that has an internal heat exchanger.

the questions
Should I use the motor OR the furnace plumbed through the water heater to preheat the water heater?
Should I use BOTH the motor and the furnace plumbed through the water heater? (would have to use a "Y" valve)
Should I keep the motor separate and not used in any of the instances above?

For the foreseeable future I will be in the Pacific NW or SE Alaska.

thanks
