Liberty 28's are great small cruising boats. They do have a full keel and a short waterline, so know what you are getting in to, but they are also very solid and well built from what I can tell.

I think they would be a little cramped for a cruising couple, but perfect for a solo sailor. If you can't find/can't afford a BCC, a Liberty 28 would be an excellent choice in the same class of boat.

I'm friends with a guy that is selling one of the Liberty 28's in Melbourne. It's a great boat. He's done some stuff to it and his work is top notch.

Heading over to Melbourne in a couple of weeks to look at NORMA JEAN, a Liberty 28. Know anything about her? If she is in good shape, I expect to make an offer.
