Does anyone have any positive or negative results with a lead shot at the tip of your centerboard?

Also where is a good place to get new shrouds for a Lido? board yard or company ordered?

1. There is really no reason to add ballast to the centerboard. You can keep a Lido balanced with your body. With a crew of two, hiking isn't even necessary until it really starts blowing, just scoot to windward and go. Don't wreck a really nicely balanced boat.
2. Schock sells all the rigging and parts you could want for even the old boats. You might also try Doublewave, which sells parts for and tunes Lidos.

Very good points to note, I guess I will go without adding the ballast to it then. I will be doing the fiberglass work over the weekend. We will see how it comes out as well as how it performs vs the original.

As for the shrouds I suppose ordering a set from doublewave is my best bet.
