Wear and tear, and for many, listening to the chug chug, are as significant costs as fuel.

Yes, the economics are not really the compelling argument when it costs 80-12x as much.

LFP can mean all your electricity needs are handled in a couple hours runtime per week, or even less with ood solar

It takes 6-7+ hours to get a lead bank back to full, even with 200A charge current available.

Lithiums advantage in weight, recharge time, capacity per sqft and never needing to be fully charge to insure longevity are not directly economic advantages (unless you burn diesel to recharge), but are substantial improvements over lead. I think all boats will come that way stock at some point, or at least start seeing it as a factory option.
