We are planning on replacing our lifelines and rebedding our stanchions. Last year using the old lifelines, we installed netting to help keep the dog on the boat. It looked rough and didn't reach from the lifelines to the deck.

Any suggestions on lifelines with netting alreading attached or some version thereof.

While I generally agree with this logic (see my post "What do lifelines really do?"), the exceptions are dogs and children. Jack lines for a dog?

Actually..............yes, their vests have D-rings on the back and their leash act as the tether, under way they can move around the cockpit only, at anchore we put the loop handle on the jackline and rig it so they have the entire starboard ( or port, whatever we feel like ) side to run up and down.

If you want to run netting along the lifelines, especially to keep a dog onboard the boat, you probably should run a line along the deck and use that to attach the bottom of the netting to, unless you have a perforated aluminum toe rail you can use to anchor the bottom of the lifeline netting to.

There really aren't any pre-fabricated solutions for this... you just need to get the netting and install it.
