Sr. Exec on temp assignment (a few years) looking to live aboard a sail or motor boat in the lower Westchester County area. Rather not stay in a extended stay hotel or apartment. Of course, it would have to be big & comfortable enough (35+ feet) with heat, shower & internet. Prob. would not stay onboard most weekends. Anything out there, interest or ideas by anyone?

Do you like to sail or you just like to sleep in a bed with rocking motion? :)

Good luck with that... most boats can not be rented for such a purpose without a commercial insurance policy.

It can be done, but I imagine you will have to buy something. If you don't plan on going out much, I would suggest a power boat as you get about twice the space for the same length. You really have to be willing to sacrifice for the love of sailing to live on a sailboat. Then sell when it is time to go.

Have you thought about where you are going to live during the winter as most marinas in this area require that that boats be pulled for the winter.
