Looking for a weekender

1758 Views 1 Reply 2 Participants Last post by  Jeff_H
I am looking for a good 20 to 25 ft. weekender. Will need to be an older boat and trailerable since funds are limited. (Two boys in collage) I have looked at a Seaward 25 and like what I have read, although I haven''t seen many for sale.

I have limited experience with smaller boats, however this will be my first sloop.

Thanks for any help!

You can often find old race boats like J-24''s, Kirby 25''s or the Farr designed 727 in non-competitive condition for $5K or less and they make reasonable weekenders.

I also like the C&C 22''s which went by a number of names, Grampian Classic 22 and Bluejacket to name a few. I actually owned and weekended one of these. You see these for sale under $2K.
