Does anyone in Southern/ Southwest Florida have old sails sitting around in the garage/ basement that are no longer in usable condition?

I work for the Sanibel Sea School, a small marine education non-profit on Sanibel Island, and we are looking for a way to give kids some shade during lunch. We thought hanging some old sails would be great way to do this while keeping our marine/ nautical theme.

We would be interested in either having them donated or buying them for a reasonable price. Let me know if you are interested, or call Leah at (239) 472-8585.

Thanks!

I have a Pretty Sized Decent Headsail

P or I =46/41, J = 11.. It's about 350 ft2. I'd be willing to donate it if you want to arrange and pay for shipping.

If interested, send me a PM.

I suggest you contact some of the local sail lofts as a possibility. Also give Atlantic Sail Traders in Sarasota a call and perhaps Nautical Trader in Nokomis (941-488-0766).

FWIW...
