Regarding the inmast vs not... you'll get almost as many responses either way. Many prefer the sail shape and performance of a conventional mainsail, but truth be told you'd probably only notice if you were racing an identical, equally well (or poorly) sailed sistership.

These systems work well for the most part, but the unavoidable fact is that if they do screw up you can have a real mess on your hands. You can't drop a partially furled sail if that suddenly became necessary. My personal choice/recommendation would be the conventional main, but lately I meet more 'converts' - ie; people who bought an inmast furling boat 'reluctantly' and find that they kinda liked it..
