I just purchased a 2002 MacGregor 26 X.

I find the location of the foresail winches on the cabin top very inconvenient.

Has anyone installed additional winches & cleats on the cockpit coamings so that the genny sheets can be controlled while sitting in the helm man's seat for single handed sailing ?

I've put blocks (genoa cars) on the tracks on the cockpit, run the sheets through those and back to the cabin top winch and through cams.

I got the idea from other MacGregor owners and it works well.

I've also seen where owners have put a block and cam on the track and just used it that way.
