Giving serious consideration to purchasing a liveaboard and looking for a a place to park it somewhere between Daytona and Fort Pierce. Trying to balance the cost of boat purchase and slip/liveaboard/power costs. Done renting!

Any suggestions on affordable liveaboard friendly marinas?

I don't know the area where you are but being a liveaboard for the last two years I might have some advice. Living aboard is barely cheaper than renting when you figure in maintenance. Most boats aren't designed for daily use.

Another problem is getting rid of the boat if you want to sell. From what I see in my area newer boats move and old used boats (10+ yrs) end up getting dumped for nothing at sell time.
