re: inexpensive Chesapeake marinas
Here are two, both on the south (Virginia) side of the Potomac at its junction with the Bay: 1) Coan River Marina 804 529-6767 and 2) Lewisetta Marina 804 529-7299. Can''t remember which, but the Pardey''s (Lynn & Larry) kept their boat at one or the other this past year.
I use and recommend Chesapeake Bay Magazine''s "Guide to Cruising Chesapeake Bay." The folks who put it together are really expert on the bay. You can get it at this URL:
