I need Marine Insurance quick, Sailing in the Texas Gulf Coastal area soon. I will, bring the 43' Schucker from Mobile, Ala. to Rock Port, Tx. Any ideas?
We have received very good service and affordable coverage through Seaworthy Insurance.

FWIW after Hurricane Sandy a local yard told me there was a huge difference between BoatUS and other companies in terms of getting adjusters out, working with the yard and cutting checks.

I'll second the recommendation of Progressive. When our Catalina was totaled in Hurricane Sandy, they had a surveyor out within a week or two of the marina being "reopened" (or at least safe to enter). It took them a few weeks to process the payment, but nothing unreasonable. The storm hit in October and I think we were paid by December or January. When you consider that they couldn't get to see the boat until mid-November, and the incredible number of boats that were damaged, I don't think that's bad.
