I am going to repair the little ding (4-6") that i put in my keel last year when I got a little too friendly with a rock at the edge of a channel. It just busted away the fairing compound a bit but I figure why not patch it up before splash.

The easiest way to fix it will be wire brush and marine-tex...any experience with this product out there??

P.S. - I was just going to slap some bottom paint on it so this is just cosmetic, I really don't think that there is enough damage to slow me down.

MarineTex is easy to work with, just follow the directions. It is waterproof and long lasting. You are on right track.
