It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve last been sailing. We are having a break in the storms this Saturday, but my wife informs me that she doesn’t want to sail because she doesn’t want that “blown out look” for the party that evening. The sacrifices we make for Saint Valentine! I’m not sure that I will even make it out next weekend. You guys in the northland must really be going nuts by now. I need a sailing fix! I need to see some sailing pix! I’ll start the ball rolling. This shot is taken mid Pacific during our race to Hawaii last summer. The boat is surfing along in the trade winds under our 1½ oz runner and is doing low teens in a surf. By mid afternoon the wind will lighten and we will have peeled to the ¾ oz. Life is good. The colors were fantastic! Crystal sapphire blue seas under an azure sky. I want to be in the tropics now and not tied to this office desk.
