Cant help but going into Mt Sinai at night with the current in 25 knots can be a memorable experience...one I would not suggest for the faint of heart LOL
I like the Stonebridge restaurant in Milford. About Stonebridge Restaurant
I've been there a few times. Good food, nice staff. A short walk from the town marina (Milford Landing) at the end of the river. The main street is nice to walk, there is a nice village green on it. If you want a simple burger very close by, Indigo By the Water is good. Basic place.
If you do go to Milford Landing, be careful at low tide, there is NO water outside of the pilings with red cans on them. Plenty of water inside, so just be aware.
One more thing, don't bother going to Mt. Sinai. Nothing to see there. Nothing. Keep moving on
I did a fractional share on a boat in Port Wash. last season. Lots of nice restaurants, convenient water taxi, easy trip in and out of harbor. Oyster bay in nice too.
+1 for the Stonebridge in Milford. We ate there again a few weeks ago on our cruise. If you order before 6PM, two complete dinners are only $29 from a special menu.
The Milford Yacht Club is at the far lower end of the harbor. A LONG walk to town. Milford Landing is right in town. It was just recently dredged so low depth at low tide should not be an issue.
