That's a pretty wide area. What kind of sailing do you want to do? The upper Chesapeake seems likely. My personal experience at the Jersey Shore is that it takes years on a waiting list to get beach permits, and depending on the town, there is a residency or ownership requirement. From my memory, there is a Hobie club in Barnegat, NJ that might be a possibility. Spray Beach Yacht Club, I think.

Have you tried the Hobie website? They have a very active message board.

The Hobie fleet in Sandy Hook, NJ has a nice facility and an active club, but that might be a bit farther than you want to travel.

Mooring a Hobie is not a good idea. They are not made to do that.

Good luck!

Thanks!

I'd love to keep her on the Chesapeake, but everyone I've contacted wants a fortune. As you pointed out, I really need a place to pull her out. I want to keep her on a trailer w/ the mast up. I'm checking the parks. Thanks again.
