I recall sailing past a OI 41 with my little C&C 30 coming out of Quicks Hole and headed up to the Vinyard. Now this is Valhala to a real sailor and we check the tides and all and it''s a big deal to me.
The OI 41 was hardly moving in the light air and I had up a big genny and all so we passed them. I suppose at the rate they were going they had to motor to get to port that summer day.
However I was just in Florida and walked past a small marina and among the dozen or so boats there 3 of them were OI 41''s. Thinking about it if I was living there year around on my boat and in no hurry the OI 41 would be a good deal. Of the wind in a breeze I expect they will sail OK.
I take it back. I could never live with a dog like that. But my friend who lives aboard there said: "Down here they are popular up North you can''t give them away".
If the price is right you can always sell it and get another boat if you don''t like it.
