ok bud so I see 2 issues

like the links I posted you have oil coming out the exhaust through the prop from sitting in this position for a while

2. the intake looked like it had oil in the black part...tube

when you can stand the engine upright...

check oil level after standing ipright a while the go ahead and take he plug out...

clean it up or get a new one...flush out if needed...

I went to Home Depot today and bought wood and nails an tomorrow I am going to make a ghetto stand. I'm also going to get gear oil.. I watched a YouTube video on changing the lower unit oil. That looks really simple. I had a helper help me hold the motor upright and checked the main engine oil. It looked full. But I can't really tell how much leaked out, not if it's enough that it would make the dipstick show low oil.

The intake does look like it has oil in it, is that the carb intake, where it brings in air to mix with the fuel? That will have to be cleaned out like you described. I'll remove the spark plug and shine a light in the engine and hope it's clear.

yup, some engines have foam filer elements...usually o outboards there is just the intale tract...

its pretty simple to take off the carb...some use clamps, or screws or whatever...

draining the bowl is easy to...this will make starting easier and if you can a quick check of the jets and such wont hurt....

ps. youd be surprised how much a little drops of oil spreads especially on cardboard and even a drip a day will expand like crazy...

did the oil filler cap look wet? was it really well sealed

changing lower unit oil is a walk in the park...since you did have oil come out the exhasut check those seals if you can...

The oil filler cap was tight and dry.
