Mind you, it is still in the "work in progress" stage but after being off the internet for a week I thought it was better to get it up sooner. Many thanks to my good, Danish pal, Tom Larsen for building this site for me. I hope you enjoy it. Now that we have actually managed to get it up we can now finish the details and add some more spice to it.

I am very interested in comments as to how to improve it and what features you would like to see.

Thanks

I'm keeping my old blog we will link to it soon.
We are adding a lot more images as we get into the build of the site more.
Tom is a total nut on photography so he will use no photo that doesn't meet his standards.
I'm in good hands.

I am having trouble making my signature here smaller. No matter how small I reset the type it comes out big! Annoying.

Are you going to have a FAQ section?

I like the look and feel of the site. Its well balanced between text and pictures. I'm not sure if muted is the proper term but its nice to look at the toned down colors, then again maybe my monitors' phosphor is getting old. ;)

Is that Latin being used as a place holder for English text?

Text on the left side has a glitch, two lines overprint. Screen capture attached.
MSIE 11+, fully patched, is the browser.

Nice site, beautiful boats.

Screen shot not attached...Sailnet's software is being difficult. The lines between "Custom Designs" and "Drawing and Plans" are totally overlapped, appearing as one line. There's probably a CR without LF on the end of one line there.

Hello:
Some people, not all, are seeing that glitch. I don't see it. We'll see what we can do about it.

Will not have a FAQ section, at this time.
Working on more images.

How the hell do I change the font size on my signature here? I've tried and it only seems to get BIGGER! Hlelp!

User Control Panel > Settings and Options > Edit Signature > There is a drop down menu for sizes.

I see you got it :)

In the Robert H. Perry Bio section, you repeat the following text. It is both above the picture of Lakemba and to the side of the picture (at least in my browser):

In 1957 my Dad made a trip back to the US to visit his ailing father. Dad came back to Australia and told us that we could live a better life if we moved to the US. Life in Australia, no car, no dog, no house, no bike was far from the American dream. We came to the US on a Liberty ship the Lakemba. It took a month to make the trip due to being stuck in Fiji for two weeks waiting for a sugar refinery workers strike to end so the ship could be loaded with raw sugar. We landed in Vancouver and took the train to Seattle where we were met by my Aunt. We were intending to go on to Phoenix where my grandparents spent the winter but my Grampy was near the end so we stayed in Seattle.

Bob-
The overlapped lines actually shifted around as I was looking at the site. Probably means the way they are coded is allowing different browsers to display them by different "active" rules instead of by simpler fixed command. A mixed blessing of "modern" web coding, the obsolete old coding sometimes works better.

I do see the "Copyright" line floats freely, a fixed distance above anything that's below that frame, while the other text seems to be fixed as "down from the top", so they could shift against each other, move around and overlap.

Signature size? Like the "Perry 2013" in the picture a couple of messages back? Are you coding it as text, or is it an image file? Image files will be rendered differently, font sizes won't control them. If it is text...there's that magic active coding again. But I for one am unclear what you are referring to as "signature" overall.

He means his SailNet signature. The font was huge. I was fixing it and refreshing the thread to see that the changes took.

A little bit of Italian (?) seems to have gotten mixed in at "Classic Perry Designs - Production Boats"..... Actually looks like Latin to me, but I couldn't imagine that

"Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Ut enim ad minim veniam, quis nostrud exercitation ullamco laboris nisi ut aliquip ex ea commodo consequat. "
