Kinda looks like an Alden design. A baby Alden 50?

Very similar to my A35 except for the aft-hung rudder which probably improves steering as well as the ability to snare pot warps and tendency to break off at the slightest provocation:)

Looks like you solved the mystery. I too think she is a very good looking boat. I'd sit at Shelter Island and admire her but never could figure this out.

BTW SloopJonB,

If you don't mind me asking how did you know? Do you have any experience sailing one?

I had a Columbia 43 and got to know a lot about the various Columbias as a result.

I also love virtually all flush deck boats - it's probably my single favourite design aspect so I am more aware of them than most other boats.

I've never seen a Constellation in the flesh and am not likely to since they are so rare.

thats a nice boat...always thought the 50 was awesome too...too big for my budget but SOMEDAY...jajaja
