I''m looking for a diesel engine for my Dufour 27. Currently has a Volvo MD1B. I would like more horsepower, but need to be concerned with size. I''m in Marathon but will travel for the right engine.

I have a Volvo MD11C 2 cylinder 25 hp diesel that has very low hours. It has a saildrive on it but that could be replaced with a std. transmission I think. Bad news is that this is a heavy beast, with the saildrive it weighs 500 lb.

If you are looking to repower you should read the article about electric motors that was on sailnet a few days ago, it was really good.
