Very helpful video! I was surprised by use of both T-9 and 30 wt motor oil on the chain. I thought we liked the dry-lube stuff best since it won't collect dust and dirt. Different rule of thumb for chain, I guess? Thanks!

Most of my offshore has been with quadrant, cable and chain and happy with that. At least you can maintain, see whats wrong and replace/juryrig ,,,whatever. I hear so often of continual grief in far places of trying to keep the oil out of the aft bunk, air out of the lines .If I were starting off today I'd install the biggest, best over kill unit and then carry a spare and seals for the spare and a source back home to mail me new units when I need it . (and the AP pump with all the spare fittings .)
