Hello All,

I recently bought a 2003 Bavaria 44 Cruiser and sailed it from Raby Bay south of Brisbane to Bundaberg.

We encountered 35 knot winds up the eastern side of Fraser island with 3 to 4m swell on the starboard quarter. We managed to log 206 nautical miles in the 24 hour period. The weather forecasts were for gentle 10-15kt winds for up to a week but we got hammered with the no 1 headsail up and couldnt furl it as it was not furl-able. So, we hung on for dear life and have 16.7 knots registered on the trip log. The boat took a pounding which has instilled quite a lot of confidence in me. I am very pleased with her.
