My boyfriend and I recently took a few sailing lessons near our house, and realized that we wanted to learn more about the sport. We bought a (very) used 1963 Lofland Snipe near the lake, and we are trying to put it together and get on the water. The boat is not in bad shape, that we can see so far, and they gave us an array of spare lines, parts, and sails. We are in the process of sorting through that and seeing if we can master the rigging. Any advice about the boat, or sailing in general, would be very helpful to us, as we don't have much, if any, experience.
