I am expecting a transfer from AZ to Hartford, CT area within a few weeks.

Plan to buy a Cat 22 after the wife and I are settled in.

I am wanting some sailing time in a Cat 22 to confirm all the reviews and info online about this being a great "starter boat" is true for me.

Have sailed only a handful of times.

Looking for a Catalina 22 owner who would like an extra set of hands sailing the Long Island Sound area and would allow me to "work and learn".

Lunch is on me :)

Should be in the area for October 2014

Any owners between New Haven and Mystic willing to help me gain some real on deck experience please let me know.

Don't worry about getting hands on experience first. If you think a C22 is a good boat to have, and it is, just go buy one and start sailing. If you find it was a mistake, you won't have any problems unloading it.
The only sailing experience I had was when I was a kid sailing a Sunfish and a small sailing dinghy. Then when I was 40, I bought my first boat, a Catalina 30.
