I am replacing my 150 genoa on my furler with a 110 for the first time. The luff length on the 110 is about 15 inches shorter than the 150, so I need to make a pennant from 3/16" cable to extend the tack. I was told by my local sailmaker that I should try and get the top swivel of the furler as close to the masthead as possible. How much should I allow for stretch in the luff? The length of the luff is about 42 feet. Any other advice would be welcome as well.
Thanks,
