I just believe this will be a better freezer, then my big 8cuft would be, and use less power.
Beliefs are simply opinions. Run the numbers and see what you get. Fixed installations, given good insulation, are generally more efficient.

Best in my personal opinion with experience would be a holding plate installed well insulated system our spill system is holding at 10°F which is plenty for solid freezing meats and hard ice cream. Also we hold 38° F in the fridge. I'm sure if it was a dedicated freezer it would be even colder and use even less power than we do now

We have a separate freezer and compressor and just don't use it since it is such an energy hog. It is much smaller than our fridge (1/4 of the volume?) but uses considerably more power. Since we use a vane for steering, our energy needs are met by solar and wind. Nice not to have to worry about it. Our fridge has enough freezer capacity to keep us happy.
