Hello - Im traveling via the ICW from NC to Key Biscayne, departing the end of Feb.

How much time should I allocate to traverse the distance? Unheeded at 6knts, the math tells me about 10 days. But Im sure with bridges and weather, should I plan to at least double that?

Thanks in advance

If staying in the ICW the entire time? We averaged about 50nm a day. Sometimes more sometimes less.

Suggestion: we go as far as Beaufort, NC then duck in and out of the ocean and make a lot better time. Nothing better than listening to the radio and hearing folks ask for a bridge opening. Then about Port Royal we go off and go direct to Miami or you can do an overnight to Ferna Beach and then another overnight to Miami. It will make for a quicker trip.

Beaufort/Morehead City to Charleston is 6 days. 3 more to Savannah. Haven't done the ICW from there to Cumberland Island/St Marys or Fernadina Beach, but reckon 3 days. 'Nother week to Miami.

Savannah to St Augustine, St Augustine to Fort Pierce, Fort Pierce to Miami are all easy overnight hops outside.
