Hi Folks, I managed to break one of my stanctions. I have the replacement parts, but cannot figure out how to get at the nuts. It’s on the port side, just forward of the cockpit. It looks like the nuts are behind the little shelving unit in the galley. Do I have to take half the boat apart to fix this?

On my O'day 35, I used a Dremel (would now use an oscillating tool - Fein, etc.) to cut the head liner to give me access to the nuts. I am sure that O'Day mounted all the deck hardware before attaching the deck to the headliner or the hull.

Thanks, I will try drilling a small hole in the headliner and use my boroscope before I cut a bigger hole. What did you use to cover the hole you made?

Nothing... there is a hole in the headliner over the shelf. You can't see it.
